Calculation
What does “Night shift bonus taxed” mean?
This is the taxable part of the night premium, so everything above the tax-free limit (standard 25%, 40% from 00:00 to 04:00). You set the limit under at “Bonus taxation”. If “Shift bonuses are fully taxed” is active for the shift, the whole premium is taxable. It is not overtime. Example: night premium.
Can I change the name “Night shift”?
The built-in premiums cannot be renamed. Your own shift premiums get their own name, their own time, weekdays and a tax limit. Then turn off the built-in premium for the shift.
My employer pays for the break.
Turn on → “Calculate breaks fully”.
The app does not deduct a break, although I work 9 hours.
Enter the break in the shift template or on the day, or turn on “Enforce statutory breaks during calculation”.
Where do I see my overtime?
In the result window, in the overview (“Overtime”, “Overtime account”). For this, the Overtime menu must be active and “Overtime” must be turned on for the shifts.
How do I change the month in which premiums are paid out?
→ Payment method. With “Set manually in the result window” you choose the target month for each month.
Can I track two jobs?
Yes. Set up the second job as a shift without “Taxes and social security contributions” and with its own hourly wage (it appears as “Net (Shifts/Extra job)”), or create a separate user. The Transition zone/mini-job option always applies to the whole user.
Is the app suitable for Austria or Switzerland?
Calendar, public holidays and premiums, yes. There the app only estimates net pay roughly with “Percent Tax”, because the wage tax (Lohnsteuer) and social security calculation is only implemented for Germany.
What about the tax values for next year?
The values are added with an update before the turn of the year. Until then, the app uses the values of the current year.
Planning and calendar
How do I plan my shift rotation for the whole year?
Day view or main menu → “Interval planner”: the sequence including “Off”, the start and “Plan until”, with a preview and undo in one step. Or use quick planning with an interval.
How do I change the times of a shift for the past?
A changed template only applies to new entries. For existing ones: → replace the same template with itself within the period.
Can I enter an appointment for every week?
Yes, with “Repeat appointment” in the appointment.
Where do the bin icons come from?
These are appointment icons (general waste, organic waste, paper, yellow bin). Set up the collection as a repeating appointment.
Can my partner see my shifts in the calendar?
Yes, if you are both set up as users in the same WebSync account. Then each of you sees the other's shifts in the month, list and day view. Without a shared account, you can still use “Share calendar” in the browser.
Leave and sickness
How do I enter sickness?
Enter the “Sick” shift or your own sick shift (Sickness menu). The sick shift should have your usual times, so that hours and target hours are right. After 6 weeks, use your own empty shift without pay.
How do I enter half days of leave?
Half days of leave are not supported. Every day with a leave shift counts as a full day. What you can do is use a leave shift with half the working time for the pay. You then correct your remaining leave under “Current status”.
Data, purchase and devices
How do I back up my data?
Ideally with WebSync and, now and then, a backup that you send off your device.
Do I have to buy again on a second device?
No. With the same store account, the full version is unlocked on all your devices. Through WebSync it also carries over between Android and iPhone.
Is the full version a subscription?
No, it is a one-off purchase.
My trial has ended and I only want the calendar.
Calendar, appointments, school holidays and templates stay free. You can still use the pay calculation for one month. PDF export, the tax report and the calculation of further months come with the full version.
Is there a web or Windows version?
No. Only the shared calendar can be viewed in a browser, with shift times.
Can I use the app on a tablet or iPad?
Yes. On the iPad there is an adapted layout, also in landscape. Android tablets work, but the layout is not specially adapted there.
How do I delete my WebSync account?
→ “Delete user”, or by support email.
How can I send in requests?
By support email or with a review in the store. Many features of the app came from users' suggestions.
